Senate Judiciary will hear Jackley’s bill
SB 27 prohibit certain direct conflicts of interest by public officials and to provide a penalty therefor.
This is a good step and might be an interesting listen.

House State Affairs
The State Board of Elections has a couple bills on petitions
And there is a whistleblower bill
HB 1035 revise and provide certain procedures for filing, certifying, and challenging petitions.
The Committee on Local Government at the request of the State Board of Elections

HB 1037 revise certain provisions regarding delegates and alternates to the national convention, nominating petitions, and runoff elections.
The Committee on Local Government at the request of the State Board of Elections

HB 1052 provide certain protections for public employees who report violations of law.

House Committee on Appropriations
The Governor’s bill HB 1009 authorize the Board of Regents to accept a donation of land from Pennington County for the use and benefit of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
